It's great, not outstanding as past projects have been but Paak. delivers nonetheless and it's just about what you'd expect, I'll be honest that the cuts where he delves into Jamaican slang are not strong points but this is an album where the good outweighs the bad, immensely. The feature compliment Paak. well and nothing makes a bad day, a great day like listening to "Tints".

Have you ever experienced a sunny day, that's not too hot or too cold, there's music playing outside, kids are playing in the street, flowers are all blooming and then you get a letter in the mail saying you won the lottery? If not, Surf's the closest thing.
The project is packed with songs that echo the message of believing in yourself, being happy, and it just puts a smile on your face.

It annoys me how much credit Coloring Book gets for being great but no one seems to give Acid Rap the amount of praise that I think it truly deserves.

Putting aside the terribly made covert art, this album is a pleasant surprise compared to the solo attempts of the other Migos. It's a good representation of the struggles and obstacles that Offset has clashed with in his life, whether it be from his own doing or the situations he was born into. Unlike Takeoff's album, he has recruited a list of A-List features, ranging from new talent such as Gunna to conscious rappers like J. Cole, as well as the obligatory Quavo, Travis Scott and 21 Savage ... read more
