On the production end this album Goes Hard. The entire thing sounds so crunchy, textured, and pounding!! The more clear additions of pop/hyperpop styles is a great and fitting addition to LSP's sound. On the lyrical side it's solid but maybe needs some work. When not doing one of the classic LSP driving, aggressive flows the lyrical additions can be a touch awkward. It feels a little all or nothing on how much LSP rides with the beat. The rapping is either loud punchy flows on the beat or quiet non-conventional flows consumed by the production. This discontinuity between vocals and production is not inherently a bad thing, but in some moments like EXES when the vocals are pretty low and not really fitting the cadence I don't think it works super well. When LSP is doing a basic but hard hitting flow like on CHOKEHOLD I think it just makes everything come together more effectively. But I also respect the switch up from this style which LSP has been doing for a bit. I just think they need a bit of work on their rapping. Still loved this thing.
