Actually one of the best combos of hardcore music ever. This combo of rap, metal, industrial, and punk is notorious for producing some of the corniest music ever. So ho99o9 here kind of does a beautiful job at making a project that consistently goes so hard the entire time while also sounding really authentic

Continuing with their material focused work, the thing that really stood out about this project was how beautiful it was. I think there are multiple directions this album could have gone. And while I traditionally am more interested in harsh and abrasive styles I think the choice to focus on the ringing tones and beautiful resonances of the metal over the harsh scraping of machinery was a worthwhile choice. Matmos expands their mastery over electronic music to new heights. The first disk is much of the classic Matmos formula but with a slew of new and interesting sounds and styles. The organic-ness really shines through on this one. Then the next disk moves to a new and much more careful and head-y style. The electronics seem stretched, minimized, and oddly kaleidoscoped.
