HAPPY 60!!
It seems that almost everybody who loves music enough to buy it, chart it, catalog it, rate it, and/or review it has an album or song that "got" them into the whole music fandom. This one is it for me.
Dear reader, Pet Sounds is not only the most fundamental album of my life but it also happens to be really damn good. I don't want to get too deep into the history or why many people love this thing because...its Pet Sounds. You probably already know that. Here's ... read more
I can’t believe, in 2026, JPEGMAFIA has made a 52 min record over good beats while whining and saying almost nothing substantial or interesting. Seriously?? The guy who made Veteran less than a decade ago?
Buckle up! This is a long, long review. I have a lot of thoughts about this one...
Some personal context on why I am disappointed with this record: 3 years ago I experienced Scaring the H--s and not only adored that record (in my top 3 of the decade) but I also saw him and Danny on ... read more
A great comp with some great Bruno features. Some of these are from albums that I don't think I would pick up so it was great to get all of these loose tracks together, especially Nothin' on You, Mirror, Uptown Funk, the Finesse remix, a live version Leave The Door Open, and Die With A Smile. I would've preferred a retrospective "so far" greatest hits kinda record (that's probably gonna come eventually) but this is great set of tracks and a fun Record Store Day ... read more

The Rolling Stones' fourth album released in the UK, Aftermath, is a truly great and enjoyable mid 60's blues rock record. It's their first album full of originals. That's really cool for a band that really started off covering that great blues music! A lot of my favorite Stones "deep cuts" land here because this album is just plentiful of really solid tracks that come from a time of their career that's not discussed as much as their legendary late ... read more

Prince and the Revolution deliver yet another great soundtrack to another (apparently) not great movie. Lol. It's yet another great set of versatile pop songs from Prince during his commercial and creative peak. I don't have many thoughts about this album honestly, but here's what I've gathered over the years.
It's pretty cool starting off this record with a medley! It's of four short but sweet tracks, with big mood shifts over these ten minutes or so ... read more
My 100th review on here as of writing! Pretty cool.
Gorillaz are so back with The Mountain! After the simply OK, formulaic, Cracker Island record, with probably just two standout tracks that make it OK and not just a weak record, I wasn't really hopeful for another Gorillaz album to be great anymore. Call me shortsighted but I thought Gorillaz would go on autopilot from now out. This wasn't helped by the singles, which at the time I thought were just solid but nothing I was actively ... read more
