Before I start this review, because I KNOW I will get threats and shit for just stating my opinion, I would like to preface by stating the following: This is NOT coming from a Twenty One Pilots hater. Quite the opposite, for the longest time Twenty One Pilots were THE band for me. These are the guys who made me fall in love with music as a whole, Trench literally changed my life, it introduced me to the idea of the concept album and the constant genre shifting that would become a huge part of ... read more
Listened to this album as a punishment because I failed to deliver my own album on the original release date.
Just... just listen to "Brother" for the lols and then leave the rest. This shit ain't even worth touching with a 10 foot pole. This is just a grown ass man whining about cancel culture and bragging about how he gets more bitches than you or whatever. It's an even worse version of Kid Rock, and I already thought that was impossible.
Fun fact: I once used the album cover as my pfp on Discord because I thought that was funny. That same day, my mother threatened to kick me out of the house if I didn't get a job in a month.

No it's ok, I get why some people like this, I understand it has some kind of raw appeal. I just can't get past the bigger issues and truly enjoy this. Ironically that fuckass snare drum is not even my biggest gripe with this. It's James, he genuinely sounds terrible and the lyrics only make this whole thing harder to swallow. This album is also loud as fuck and not in a good way, I've gotten a headache every single time I've relistened to it, which is only made ... read more
I'm gonna sound like a contrarian here but this is actually an IMPROVEMENT over "Going Shopping". It's still ass, don't get me wrong, but the autotune, as shitty as it is, at least kinda works on this more mellow sound. Just wish Julian didn't go so fucking crazy using it (I don't mind that he's using autotune, just don't make it so noticeable) and that this was shorter, because it does drag at 6 minutes in length.
EDIT: ok the ending is kinda ... read more
