blái hnötturinn (which roughly translates to "the blue planet") is a soundtrack album made by múm for the children's play of the same name. 17 short-ish child-like tracks and easily múm's most underrated works.
i should get into múm to be honest.
JIM O'ROURKE: "INSIGNIFICANCE" 500 REVIEWS AS OF 2026/06/02, FORMERLY 499 REVIEWS. MUST HEAR STATUS: ☑
jim pulls out some guitar songs out of his pocket. not any guitar songs tho. good guitar songs. kinda cozy despite their lyrical content which is about a breakup. overall it's a really good album, hats off jim. glad to make this album a must hear. kinda wish it was on spotify tho.

while i was a bit sceptical at first going into this album, in the end i found it particularly enjoyable. i have absolutely no idea what else to say other than it's a good project. thanks for the rec!

this thing is fucking amazing. thank you nujabes, fly high. 🕊️
abrasive and somewhat mellow, so's self titled record is like comforting yourself during an apocalypse
i've been eyeing this record for a while and i just decided that it's time to check it out
so consists of markus popp known from oval and microstoria, and japanese singer eriko toyoda. their two dinstinct styles meet and blend together as they form something sharp and something soft at the same time
the album itself sounds like a machine that is falling apart before your ... read more
lorenzo senni gets creative block and hires a bunch of aliens to make an album for him. the result is half an hour of mind bending bleeps and boops that could give the average swiftie a heart attack.
i can't help but think that this album is everything alien. alien jog, alien surgery you name it! you could tell me this album sounds like an alien orgasm and i would believe you. still in disbelief that he named a track after a youtube link...
the most listenable track on this release is ... read more
let's get the obvious out of the way, this album is not accessible by any means.
xiu xiu's third album "fabulous muscles" is a pretty short half an hour listen yet still succeeds of being the best one out of the three. its lyrics cover themes like depression, abuse and addiction and delivers it in a very soul crushing way.
its album cover features lead singer jamie stewart nuzzling a plush cat. it immediately lurs you in with its warm color palette and the cute plush ... read more

oooh. aaaah. pretty droning... woaahh. ohh my god that part was good. oooooohh. wooooww.
sorry where was i? oh yeah! today i'll be listening to "a pact between strangers" by oneohtrix point never. the project started off strong, fell off at the middle then kinda got itself together and flew up a little at the end. overall thanks kalor it's a good one!
bsmr's best record 200%! it's a really unique record and i love it for that. while it isn't the most perfect record i still adore it really much. i don't know what else to say.

✅ True! 😃
pretty nostalgic especially 256 colors. "start a people" is 15 tracks of groovy psychedelica tracks that probably could easily fit into a children's tv program. cute and welcoming tunes invite you to take a walk down memory lane with them that has sunflowers and various other knick knacks on the road. still as brand new as it was almost 20 years ago.
our little merzie coughs up his sixth album released in 2002 and it's somehow actually listenable. merzbow is known for his earshattering mindmelting noise music that literally no one will listen to in a 12 mile radius. this time he experimented with implementing breakbeats into his usual harsh noise odeon and believe it or not, he suceeds.
while you might think that breakbeats and harsh noise don't mix together if you listen to this 5 track project you'll face with the truth: ... read more
i don't think you would believe me if i said this actually goes kinda hard. like i literally didn't except a probiotic yogurt drink brand could make this good music. take notes burger king!!
a lot of people say that this has aphex twin vibes, but i honestly don't really see it. for me i'm getting 2000s edutainment game vibes from this album. like y'know v smile and that shit.
for favorite song i would probably go with forgiveness. that song was stuck in my mind and i ... read more

i really enjoyed this album despite not being a prog-rock fan. those guitar works are fantastic. the project is music to my ears, probably because it is music.
and starless, oh starless. you are still magnificent in your full glory even after 50 years. beautiful, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. bliss, such spiky and harsh bliss.
hello, i am red 🟥
pretty interesting coil side project. it's kinda boring tho. couple of unique beeps and boops but nothing much really.
i'm sorry chocolate matter and imma let you finish, but fish is the best sweet trip song I've heard so far
sweet trip's debut is a more idm focused project with 7 songs all above 5 minutes except starlife and honestly? it's pretty damn good.
these songs have a more glacial icy texture and atmosphere compared to their later works. you could skate on it, if i may say. i'm a sucker for idm so i knew i will enjoy this and yeah my predictions were correct. overall an ... read more
