I almost forgot just how spectacular this album is.
I was listening to my favorite Beatles songs last night and ran into a song from this album which I haven't heard since the initial listen back around April. I thought to myself "Damn this song is awesome! I haven't checked out this Album in a bit so why not?"
I adored almost everything this album had to offer. Paul was on fucking fire and refused to be put out his creative passion was a straight up inferno throughout this album. There's only one song that wasn't quite at the level of the others. It was noticeable enough to for me to grimace and unfortunately not give this masterpiece a certified 100. That song was "Eat at Home". It just didn't hit quite like the others have. Still a damn solid song tho.
Everything else you need to drop everything and listen immediately if you haven't checked this album out. Paul was on another fucking level with this album and it needs to be witnessed by more ears than it already has.
If this album had a perfect run through I honestly think that it might surpass "All Things Must Pass" by my boy George Harrison. It's damn close regardless but man these two albums are amongst the best shit you will ever listen to. Insane that these once in a lifetime talents were in a band together.
I haven't really touched John's stuff quite yet but what I have lit to didn't impress me that much. I am starting to ramble about crap that has nothing to do with this album so I'll cut myself there.
What you need to know is that this album might just be Paul McCartney's Magnum opus. And if you haven't checked it out and is a Beatles fan then what the hell are you even doing?
