Permanent Waves

Tedious and meandering with no destination in mind.

This was a bit rough to get through. Like this sounds a bit outdated for 1980 and the singers voice is a bit too whiney for me to be unbothered by it. This wasn't the case with previous albums so IDK the voice bugs me this time. The instrumental is interesting in theory until you realize they are not really going anywhere with them. The momentum of the album never changes much so you get real comfortable and familiar with the pace of things. That's not what I expect out of prog rock. I want things to fucking PROGRESS and nothing does with this album. It's a frustrating listen and while not actively offensive I am still bothered by the experience.
