Some enjoyable Jazz Funk. Super underrated if you are a fan of the genre. Deserves more attention.

They still got it. Writing is great, instrumental on point, vocals never lost their touch or emotions. I thoroughly enjoyed Dave Matthews Band's latest effort whether they go fast or slow hard or soft it's all good and I hope they continue to showcase their talents and charm for years to come.
Recs:
- Madman's Eyes
- The Ocean and the Butterfly
- Something to Tell My Baby
- After Everything
- All You Wanted Was Tomorrow
- The Only Thing
- Monsters
- Singing From the Windows
There's some fine gems in here, but a lot of the experience doesn't pack enough of a punch for me to enjoy it that much.
Recs:
- Can't Stop
- Here On Out
- That Girl is You
- Virginia in the Rain
- When I'm Weary
Yo, this is actually really good. Took them a while to get back into form, but damn now that they are here I am reminded at just how good at this music thing they are. I actually listened to the lyrics for once as well and they don't disappoint either. All in all a very solid effort, hell it might amongst their best to date!
Recs:
- Mercy
- Gaucho
- Sweet
- Belly Full
- If Only
- Snow Outside
- Drunken Soldier
They are actually getting pretty decent at this pop rock deal. I'm almost impressed at their improvement.
Recs:
- Funny the Way it Is
- Lying In the Hands of God
- Squirm
- Seven
We are back to the pop rock though this time I actually enjoyed a couple tracks.
Recs:
- Old Dirt Hill (Bring that Beat Back)
- Louisiana Bayou
A nice return to form though it's not quite at the level of their finest work. There's a good amount of gems here well worth the listen.
Recs:
- Where Are You Going
- Captain
- Kit Kat Jam
- Big Eyed Fish
- Bartender
Oh man...they were doing so well the past couple of albums only for their fourth effort to be a pretty flat and uninteresting experience in comparison. It's still similar enough to be recognizable, but is neutered of ambition or artistry it seems... An unfortunate step down to a pretty generic pop rock sound.
Man I am starting to really enjoy this band the more I hear from them. Another quality release from DMB.
Recs:
- The Last Stop
- Don't Drink the Water
- Stay (Wasting Time)
- The Stone
- Crush
- The Dreaming Tree
- Spoon
In their second and biggest selling release, Dave Mathews Band continues to showcase their talents and this time around I connected with it a lot better. Super solid stuff!
Recs:
- Two Step
- Too Much
- #41
- Let You Down
- Lie in Our Graves
- Proudest Monkey
The instrumentation is excellent and the vocals are great. Even with me acknowledging these facts of this release, it didn't rouse me past passing appreciation. Still its a good debut for this band.
A wondrous fairytale in sonic form.
Recs:
- Castle in the Clouds
- Night of the Shooting Star
- Fairytale Hearts
This is so nice. This is more magical than grandma's offerings but hold much of the same wistful nostalgic charm that effortlessly warms any soul that witnesses it's alluring atmosphere.
Recs:
- Summer Rain
- Beautiful Morning
- Old Lonely Mushroom Grandpa
- Fructification
- Have a Nice Trip!
A very comfy listen with a wistful nostalgic atmosphere with a smell of Grandma's cooking. Takes me back to when we visited my grandparents every holiday as a kid. Now with only one surviving grandpa on my father's side that's 90+ years old and still sharp as a tack, I cherish every time he comes to visit us or I help him with some yard work. Every story of his old jobs, travels, and the days in the military are just as cherished.( My oldest sister literally have them all ... read more
Tomcbumpz returns with a short release that's packed full of rich unique transient vibes that are so uniquely his. While I found this to be a very enjoyable experience, I would have loved to see these ideas more fleshed out.
Recs:
- Melt
- David Blaine
- Out of Orbit
- Smile
- Disintegrate
Man the sound and vibe of this album REALLY takes me back to those beautifully innocent days of the early 2010s when I finally got a radio and got exposed to music outside of contemporary Christian music for the first time. I'll always have the softest of spots for early 2010's music. I especially enjoyed the back half of this record that I may be letting my nostalgic rose tented glasses get the better of me on. A damn good indie rock release.
