They did a great job on this song! It focused on the members' strengths, creating a really nice, relaxing and catchy tune. I'm so glad Momo got her chance to shine with a vocal tone that suits her better. This single makes me excited for the release of the album!
I like what they did with the remix but some of the lyrics are way too awkward (not the little alien rap part tho! that's camp and cute). I prefer the song by SES but this one is also great.
Fantastic song. Fits so nicely with the concept of aespa... I really love the girls' voices.
I love each and every single track in this EP. The concept was executed so well, the themes of the songs melt into each other. Makes me feel like I'm traveling through glitter, haha.
Lyrics are a bit on the nose at points but that doesn't make the EP any less enjoyable.
Perfect song. Vocals, instrumentals, everything clicked right to make a track that I can listen to on repeat forever. I don't really care about the lyrics, but they're still lovely.
The tune is very catchy. Feels kinda silly but I like it!
Lyrics are a bit nonsensical so points off for that. Funnily enough, it feels like they missed the opportunity of actually being kitsch. The song played it too safe.
EDIT:
Gave it a 65 originally but tbh it grew on me so I gave it a 75. It's good, it's fun.
I don't know if there is a way to describe this album other than calling it a wonderful mess. Has it aged poorly? I don't know and I don't care. It's just very fun to listen to!
I hold this album dear to my heart. There's spring written all over it, it feels so appropriate for this season - listening to this while walking under flowering jacarandas is fantastic. The songs feel happy yet melancholic, and both vocals and instruments are really lovely. Lyrics are also nice and trying to untangle them is fun.
The creative vision for Pretty. Odd. was really clear and I think it was achieved nearly to perfection.
I love this album so much. It feel so raw and honest, listening to all of Marina's aches, sorrows and inconformities. Marina's voice is wonderful, and her singing style is very fitting for this release. Most of the tracks are both melodically and lyrically interesting. I especially love the quirkiness of songs like Mowgli's Road and Hermit the Frog.
I liked this release a lot. It feels very cohesive, listening to every track back to back is enjoyable. The songs are fun, simple and catchy. I respect the way the group manages to keep somewhat of a cute image, but more mellow and mature.
The lyrics can get a bit annoying at times but that is very common in K-Pop, so it's not much of an issue. I'd say a weak point of the EP is that the songs played it a bit too safe... some make me think I've listened to them before, somewhere else. But ... read more
