was looking so forward to this album, so of course my headphones had to break the day it dropped. no worries since i stole my brother’s headphones to listen to this. and well, to no one’s surprise, converge proves once again that they’ve still got plenty of gas left in the tank, even 30 years into their career.
been waiting for this one! and i must say my first impression is quite positive. not a mindblowing album by any stretch, but it makes up for that with its focus and precision. the quality is pretty consistent throughout, and the very strong closing track feels like the perfect cherry on top. best album i’ve heard from 2026 so far
