"With this album, we see a more sensitive and mellow side of Stormzy on songs like Velvet/Jenny Francis (Interlude), 100 Bags, Cigarettes and Cush, 21 Gun Salute, Don’t Cry For Me and Lay Me Bare. Hearing Stormzy sing on Velvet was definitely less unpleasant than I expected – maybe it was the Nao sample that made me partial but that’s just me."
