In Bambi, Hippo Campus takes a much more personal, downbeat approach as a change of pace for the followup to the light-hearted, dreamlike debut: Landmark. I respect that they're experimenting more, and I think they pulled it off quite well for the most part.
With only 10 tracks, a consistent sound, and nice transitions, this album goes by as smoothly as it does quickly.
