I don't like people who say this is a return to 'stadium rock angst' or a 'more straightforward and tuneful album than kid a'. It's another direction the band went in, and it shouldn't be judged by OK Computer or Kid A when making a review on this. Rolling stone critics suck.
genuinely not that great. I don't get why so many people say this is their favorite beatles work, it's boring and cheesy. I like it a lot but it just has a few standout songs (michelle, you won't see me, in my life) and then the rest is just forgettable. It wasn't experimental or different like Sgt. Peppers, and the songwriting was just not on the same level as a lot of other beatles albums. Still, it wasn't bad, but it's not really an achievement
