Panda Bear - Person Pitch

Really just one of the best albums ever. The sampling is immaculate and this is the only album I could describe as sounding like you’re having a heat stroke while being attacked by undiagnosed schizophrenia and mean that in a good way.

The Ruby Suns - Sea Lion

Insanely hypnotic psych album. I love the influence from world music while also feeling indie in the same way as Neutral Milk Hotel. Some of the catchiest earworms I’ve heard.

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers

Man… This album is genuinely one of my favorite albums. It’s so deeply personal, introspective, and self-aware. So many tracks hit so hard and a few are some of Kendrick’s best. The experimentation is so cool and the whole concept of the album is so well executed. People do not give this album enough credit like it is really really great. The production is amazing and the lyricism is top notch. Kendrick will forever be my favorite rapper he is just leagues above the ... read more

Animal Collective - People

My Favorite Colors is lame. The live version of People is so unnecessary. People is great however, and Tikwid is top 10 AnCo.

Animal Collective - Feels

I mean honestly my favorite album, and I wish I could give it 100, but to be fair Bees and Daffy Duck bring it down a point because they’re only close to perfect 🙄.
Edit: Nvm

Kanye West - Graduation

drunk and hot girls is so bad it brings this album down so much…

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.

This album is definitely Kendrick’s least consistent (besides his first), and I may just be dickriding but this album still stands up as an incredible album with only one skip, and honestly if I’m listening to the album I’ll let god play sometimes. Fear is imo Kendrick’s best song…

Kendrick Lamar - meet the grahams

This song is absolutely haunting. It’s genuinely chilling.

Kanye West - ye

JPEGMAFIA - LP! (Offline Version)

Something about glitch-hop just gets me, and peggy does it better than anyone else. The way this album sounds is so uniquely grimey and hard-hitting but also soft and melodic. This album is by far his most dynamic and complete. Nearly every song is so detailed and layered. I always catch a new sound deep in the heavy layering or a new lyric on relistens. So so so so great.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

This album will without a doubt go down as one of the most important pieces of music of all time. The boldness in the sonic pallet and lyricism alone make it incredible, but this album perfects every single thing it attempts. The production is unmatched, the instrumentation is technically incredible as well as sounding amazing, the way the album challenges the listener while also appealing to a mainstream audience is a incredibly respectable, and overall this album is just perfect. Also jesus ... read more

Ween - The Mollusk

This might be my second favorite production of any album. The way this album transports you to another world is indicative of such incredible production. Every track sounds so smooth and the mix is so perfect and the effects are so intriguing. Dissimilar to a decent amount of Ween’s discography, the humor on this album in no way defines it or takes away from its quality. Every track flows so well and the cohesion is only expanded when you take into consideration how well this project ... read more

Fishmans - 98.12.28 男達の別れ [98.12.28 Otokotachi no wakare]

This album puts you into a trance in which you forget about everything else and just become encapsulated in the magic that is this album. The bass is so distinct and moves the songs forward in the most awesome way. The melodies are impeccable. The string sections on Long Season add so much texture and depth to the sound and that song is unbelievably perfect especially considering its length. This album has made me feel more emotions than likely any other I’ve heard, which is insane when I ... read more

Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion

The production is so lush and clean, and this album has a very unique sound in its genre blending of pop and neo-psych. The lyricism is so intimately genuine yet universally relatable. Perfect.
