One of the most versatile game soundtracks I've ever listened to. Enjoyed some of the in-game mixes a little more, though.
feels like a big step forward after his production career.
there is a silver lining of concept, no skips (except for Zabudu for me), and interesting and versatile productuon with elements of pop rock. Overall, it's a pretty good, short listen.
Favorites: Kabluki, Ya Poteryalsa, O2, Ya v Dele.
A fairly faithful continuation of TCD, albeit with unchanged story, themes and no concept. Production on this thing is amazing, one of the best produced albums of the 2000s. What I don’t like is the much more "commercial" themes (gold digger and addiction, for example) and a couple of tracks. Overall, it’s still a great album.
Absolutely crazy year for rap.
People often liked to say that rap peaked in the 2010s, and now it’s going down fast. Honestly, I don’t understand this kind of narrative. Although we get much less mainstream artists and gigantic releases, we did not lose good music. Clipse gave us not only a good comeback album, but also an example of how Malice, Pharrell and Pusha T have advanced in creating music, what they have been able to achieve and improve since the early 2000s. And they have ... read more
It is a cleansing of the ears, a calming of the brain, soul and mood. So soulful, so beautiful and so real. Production on this thing is just great. The mixture of all these "primal" sounds and narrative of Saul Williams, as well as excellent feature from aja monet, combines just fine. He, as a versatile artist, surprises with every release. He has nothing superfluous in the discography, there is nothing empty that is released out just to be released. If before his music was more ... read more
A very long, exhausting mixture of oddly selected demos from 2022-2024 that dont even match each other. The album certainly has good highs, but as a whole, cohesive work it clearly does not reach Die Lit. Feels more like a mixtape, a bad one too.
Favorites: POP OUT, GOOD CREDIT, CRUSH
Not so unique, but amazingly composed and produced EDM album that tried to bring out the sound of late 2000s - Elf 1 is the second studio album (if not count atrocious 20) by artist Slava Marlow, which continues to impress me with extremely diverse and interesting music, that started coming out after his production era.
Every feature in this album, every little production detail feels perfect. Then why is the album not 100/100? Because for such a varied and interesting sound it is too short, ... read more
My mind is blown. I’m not such a huge fan of Aphex Twin - but it’s just a shocking album for me. Such a mix of instrumental and electronic rhythms, yet so well arranged is one of the most unusual peaces of music out there. Truly unique album which is quite a long trend for the Aphex Twin discography :)
Honestly? Yeezus is one of the most overrated Kanye albums for me. 4-5 ok, maybe good tracks, and the rest is extremely unmemorable and even bad stuff. Especially Blood on the leaves. This song is not only mid, but also awfully aged. Almost sounds like youtube intro music.
The only thing this album is about is influence, and even this is questionable because all we got from Yeezus is Travis Scott.
The album consists entirely of fun, funky rhythms and an excellent vocal performance by both artists. This is the duo that I never imagined.
Favorites: 777, Fly As Me
With each album, the standards are falling lower and lower. This album is an extreme degree of "bare minimum" before the album starts to sound unbearable. Bad mix, lyrics, features and Kanye’s performance. It’s not surprising anymore tbh
This album feels like I ate a jar of peanut butter and had nothing to drink.
0 good tracks, 2 mid tracks. Remember - I’m talking about Kanye right now. The creator of TCD.
The album has AI, bad mixing, bad production, bad features, bad main artists performance. At this point, what good is left in it? Given his nutcase fans - apparently a lot, because even this album has glazers
Had a lot of fun with this album.
This album is a 16 minute mix of a pure anger and fun. Although the mood and production doesn’t change much throughout the album - I won’t call it a bad thing. Feels like a good studio start for KFCMC.
Don't understand the rating on the Title Track, seems a little too low.
Favorites: Rage, Title Track.
Even tho the album sounds slightly outdated due to some tracks, it still remains almost flawless body of work.
Consisting of production by first-class producers at the time, one of the best lyricists in the entire hip-hop industry and excellent features this album has established itself not only as one of the best rap debuts, but also aof s one of the best albums the 2000s. Even criticized by some for its length outro is a great ending and track itself, let alone the high points of the ... read more
At least the cover art is cool.
It’s like a mix between corny porn shitpost, attempt at being funny, bland industrial and just... a badly made album. After listening to ts its difficult to name even one good characteristic. Atrocious vocals, production and style that most other PSNEAKY artists did much better, bad lyrics, name, themes, EVERYTHING. The only thing that was successfully done here is a fucking condom cover art. This album is a textbook definition of "cornball"
While The Shape of a Burning Credit Card was a simple, good and not very interesting Industrial Hip-Hop album, KFCMC is a much more confident and finished attempt on Industrial, but this time - metal. Really enjoyed features on the album, as well as the most instrumental tracks,
Favorite ones: Half Life and KFC GOD
One of the best hip-hop albums, with quite revolutionary ideas and production, almost flawless piece of work - and it is a self-produced debut. There are very few albums in the world, and especially debut albums, to which all this can be attributed.
Track by track - 94/100
Personal rating - 100/100
