michael jacksons bad is not a better album than thriller... but i honestly prefer it.

i hear the boos and the jeers already but im gonna be honest i feel the highs on here are SLIGHTLY higher than on thriller due to the innovative production choices. i feel that Bad features quincy's best work with instrumentals like leave me alone (ik, a bonus track but let me have this), the addicting and aggressive bass line on smooth criminal, the atmospheric production on dirty diana with, the energetic production on bad PERFECTLY echoing that of michaels and complimenting eachother as they both build, just good friends sounding straight off a sega genesis, the upbeat instrumental of the way you make me feel i could go on.

MJ himself is also in top form with some of his catchiest vocals and choruses, with what i'd argue to be the best vocal performances in his career.
