idk why the album cover on here is wrong but eh.

after being pleasantly suprised by the great milenko, I thought this was a good place to go from there. this album was a much different experience to that project but there's also a lot to like. this project is much darker lyrically than their prior work and has a greater emphasis on industrial hip hop that I think could really work for the duo.

One thing i can appreciate is there's a much greater improvement in rapping performances from both Violent J and Shaggy 2 dope and has a completely different production style. Suicide hotline is a song that I genuinely think is great and one of the best songs they've made. while the first track worried me cause I didn't love it, but DAMN the rapping performance from shaggy is great on here is great and the production is incredible.

C.P.K kinda dropped off for me but its more an issue with the beat for me cause I don't think either rappers really drop the ball here. truly alone kinda blows for me to begin with, but I don't think the final verse is awful either. I think my presence for shaggy compared to violent J has been established here as shaggy has a much more powerful mic presence. Everyday I die is another pretty great track which includes a great guitar inclusion in the hook. I like the beat on meet my 44 and the performance is decent but nothing i love to begin with, but I enjoy the way that it builds up. The witch is another pretty solid track. with the content matter of this track it's important to mention that unlike the great milenko, Hell's pit doesn't focus too much on the social issues that bother both rappers but rather it actually has both rappers portray themselves as much more demented than they have before and the witch Encapsulates this. bowling balls has a super bouncy beat that reminds me a lot of early tyler the creator in a way with a pretty solid drum sample. after this point the album keeps up a solid track record and doesn't have a major miss apart from the last track which is a wopping 12 FUCKING MINUTES WITH NO MAJOR SWITCHUP. Manic depressive isn't a great song either so I guess we can add that to the list and i suppose the delivery on burning up can get annoying but I think this album is overall much more consistent than The great milenko.

Fav tracks: suicide hotline, in my room, the witch, bowling balls, basehead attacks
least fav tracks: real underground baby, manic depressive, C.P.K'S
