Ctrl

Sza's beautiful voice shines it's best on this project.

her debut studio album, ctrl sees SZA grow into her own as an artist and vocalist. she employs different writing techniques with a lot of inspiration from hip hop but incorporates it in her singing performances and it really helps set her apart from her contemporarys.

sporting an impressive feature list, bouncy and blissful instrumentals and incredible vocal performances from SZA, Ctrl is a wonderful album. Sza's voice just feels super comforting especially on this album. whilst her songs can dive into themes like heartbreak and relationships, much of her music doesn't dive into anything too depressing and still feels super upbeat and uplifting.

Features are great too, Travis Scott brings a high energy melodic performance, kendrick a much more lowkey performance but my favourite feature has to come from Isaiah Rashad. it's not even his best work but his voice adds so much to the song.
