I never really liked Taylor Swift, but I’m always willing to give a chance when it comes to her music. She has some genuine good tracks, with enjoyable production and decent writing, however this was an insane letdown. The writing on this record seemed extremely lazy, and also just plain terrible. Very average record, I genuinely don’t remember much from this album which is extremely unfortunate because I know for a fact 21 Savage can do better. It’s for sure not his worst album, but it’s far from his best. I just saw myself getting really bored with the tracks, and the ones that hit were forgettable. Very solid record, however very forgettable.

Going into this album felt almost like reading a book. It really felt as if Lana was telling you a story throughout each track. Each track feels connected to each other and as one ends and starts again it’s almost as if it’s building off of the previous one. The instrumentation and production is absolutely beautiful on most tracks and the lyricism is incredibly touching. VULTURES 1 stands out as one of Kanye West’s weakest records. Although the production is sound and stellar, the horrible, almost edgy lyricism makes it fall short, and the mixing really draws it back. I really expected more from Kanye West, and this is really a disappointment. I’m really only finding myself coming back to a few tracks on this record.
