Really awesome, dreamy project. The way the vocals reverberate in the background reminds me of old school shoegaze, but the instrumentation is much lighter and more open in a way. I think the cover captures the aesthetic really well. Between this and Parannoul, I really gotta listen to more Korean underground stuff, man.
Beef aside, this is genuinely the best thing Drake has put out in years. Banger.
"I am sad because I broke up with fucking uhhhh british guy and the media and people are mean to me and I like football guy much more now he is awesome" OH MY GOD SHUT THE FUCK UP I DONT CAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE PLEASEEEEEEEEEE
Giving a 13 as in the age you have to be to find this enjoyable
Boy oh boy where do I even begin. B Dizzle..
honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you
ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way
you drive into the paint and strike fear
into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth
touch around the rim, and that gorgeous
jumpshot. I would do anything for you. I
wish it were possible to freeze time so I
would never have to watch you retire.
I'm sorry but the Chris Rock skit on Blame Game is the cringiest shit ever
When I saw the score on here I thought "It can't be that bad" and then it was that bad. The production is bland as fuck, that one person on Twitter who got kicked off the project really dodged a bullet. Trippie and mgk both bring so little to the table in terms of vocals, flows or lyrics that the chemistry isn't just bad, it's nonexistent. The content here is "I'm depressed so I do drugs", which sounds bad at face value, but I really wouldn't mind it if they explored it or ... read more
Very sad album, but is it? I think there is a sort of naked beauty to Bright Future, which makes you grateful for all the things you get to experience in your life, good or bad, except you don't because you're writing reviews on AOTY that nobody will read instead of spending time with your friends or doing anything else meaningful with your life. Maybe it is a sad album.
It took a Peggy collab to make Danny Brown seem like the normal one in a duo
Floss oozes with authenticity. It's not the best made project ever, but the way Injury Reserve is able to spin it off as something so unique and quintessential to them more than makes up for it. S on Ya Chest is genuinely in like the top 20 songs ever for me.
This shit sucks ass
I know Wilbur Soot is a terrible person and I have no intention to trudge through all that because I have a life, though I admit that it was this controversy that made me morbidly curious about his music, and I must say, damn. The best thing I can give this EP is that melodically, it sounds somewhat competent and maybe in a different universe I would've given it a 50 and written it off as uninspired indie folk wallpaper. Unfortunately, in my opinion Wilbur Soot really, and ... read more
I gotta be honest, I never made it all the way through this album because I listen to it when I have trouble falling asleep and I'm always snoring by the end of Seven Angels. There's just something so calming and meditative about the enormously loud walls of guitar that makes me feel like I'm a part of something great, something unconceivably ancient. I wouldn't think it fair to rate this album due to my circumstances, but it's an experience I cannot recommend enough.
My Ordinary Life is a complete disaster bumblefuck of a song and it's not even funny. I genuinely cannot comprehend how a track so amateurishly sounding, so poorly written, so full to the brim with pointless, confusing bullshit managed to amass almost half a billion streams. Art is dead
