Maroon 5 polishes up their sound on their sophomore record without losing the charm of their first album. The first half of this album is full of great pop rock songs with dashes of funk thrown in. The first three tracks are great, “If I Never See Your Face Again” is a stellar track with similarities to Prince. The next two songs are good as well, I love the high pitched “boop” sounds in “Little of Your Time”.
The next three songs are my favorite off the ... read more
The Frights make a strong first impression on their self titled LP, It’s a raw high energy record full of surf rock instrumentation and doo wop vocals. The album became a staple in the SoCal indie scene and The Frights gained a cult following. “C&C” is the album's opener and one of its best songs with infectious “woohoos”. “I Feel It Too”, “Let the Kids Dance”, and “Submarines” are other highlights off the record, they're ... read more

Last Days of Summer sounds like a mediocre Pacific Daydream song, the B-side is really good tho
The Last Days of Summer 6.8/10

“Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I’m Not” is a strong debut from The Arctic Monkeys. Starting off with “The View From the Afternoon” a great song that sets the high energy for most of the album, this track features one of my favorite riffs from the album. The lead single “ I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor” is another great fast paced track with punchy drums and crunchy guitars. “Riot Van” is a slower track serving as a break in ... read more
I have many great memories associated with this album, probably rated it higher than I should have. The singles kind were kind of disappointing at the time considering this was Frusciante's comeback record so I wasn’t expecting much from this project. Rumors of a secret album release show spread the night before the album dropped and I took the drive to Hollywood at 1 in the morning on the off chance it wasn’t some april fools joke. Luckily when I arrived at the venue there was ... read more
This is better than many of the album tracks they def shouldve used this one. It has major Pinkerton vibes
This album was my introduction to Interpol so I’m a bit nostalgic for it. I think it holds up well enough to their debut with not much changing sonically. I bought the album on vinyl after only hearing the song Evil, I loved the song and wanted more of it. Upon my first listen the only other song that clicked was C’mere, it was a real standout on an album full of samey tracks. The record took me a couple spins to fully appreciate, I’m glad I bought a physical copy of this ... read more
