Neurosis - An Undying Love for a Burning World
80

Before listening, I sort of took this as one of those pretentious metal albums that can sometimes get high in the charts on AOTY or RYM, but after listening I really do enjoy this. I haven't heard of Neurosis before this but they're defiantly a group I need to check out more from.
Last Light might be one of the best songs this year so far

Car Seat Headrest - Teen of Denial: Joe's Story
30

Will Toledo has been enlightened, what are the consequences of this?
Frankly an album that didn’t need a re-recording, coming just off of ten years there was no real reason to do anything but a re-release or at most a remix / remaster. I suppose Will saw this album as possibly immoral? At least not up to his current standards as he changed multiple lyrics to take out all the bad words and innuendo.
The two new songs don’t add to the album either, and there were no real big creative ... read more

Drake - ICEMAN

Im sooooo borrrrreeddd

North West - N0rth4evr
49

Some good ideas and great production, but is really held back by a lot of corny samples and bars

Magdalena Bay - Nice Day: A Collection of Singles
NR

Does this count? Does this count towards the year-end ranking?? I don't think it does. Right??

slayr - Half Blood (BloodLuxe)
90

It's hard to put an album like this into words, but this entire project sounds like injecting a crushed up candy bracelet directly into your blood stream

Jack Harlow - Monica
49

I really enjoy the pivot in Harlow’s sound on the album, but theres isn’t much of substance here. Maybe he’ll be able to pick it up in the next album and get his melodies to a better quality and have the songs be more memorable

Lightris - Kwik Trip
88

so drain gang pilled i want it in my blood

Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the Great Highway
100

Possibly top 3 album of all time only held back from that position due to Mark Kozelek being Mark Kozelek

Jenny on Holiday - Quicksand Heart
77

Other than some mixing issues and some nervousness from Jenny on Holiday vocal wise, I see a lot of potential in her solo stuff away from Lets Eat Grandma. Def going to be picking up on vinyl. Big recommend!!!

Flying Lotus - BIG MAMA
48

Flying Lotus and the infinite buildup

Joost - Kleinkunst
39

Feels like its 2 hours long. There are definitely peaks, especially towards the beginning with Farmcore into Medellin, but the rest drags especially in the second half.

Gorillaz - The Mountain
72

Feels like a lot of the music can be overshadowed by the features a lot. I still believe its good music, despite its reliance on features.

Mitski - Nothing's About to Happen to Me
70

My 1000th rating!!! Hell yeah!!

Bruno Mars - The Romantic
75

Bruno “inventor of soul” Mars

WILLOW - petal rock black
50

Willow had George Clinton, Kamasi Washington, Tune-Yards, and she STILL barely utilized them?!?

Sarah Kinsley - Fleeting
79

Hit a small dip in the middle, but immediately came back for the last track. One of my personal favorites so far from the year.

By Storm - My Ghosts Go Ghost
81

The kinda music vampires bump
