This is really just the dictionary definition of a Muse funk/disco song, not much to write home about here. It's refreshing though to see Muse being forgettable at worst, instead of offensively terrible like on the last album. the will of the people the will of the people

An introspectiveness similar to Good News and crisp and modern production mix (which recalled Breach by Twenty One Pilots for me) make for some really good tracks here. It's refreshing to see them handle synths and modern production in an actually cohesive way. Tracks 1-4 and Impossible Somedays are late career highlights. This is mostly unremarkable dance-pop, especially if you're not familiar (or obsessed) with the artist, and it could have done without the pretentiousness, but I have to give it props for keeping me interested for almost an hour. Late 2000s-early 2010s production is infectious for me no matter the context
