Easily Mac's greatest project and of the most ambitious mixtapes of all time. The heavy jazz and old school influences and samples in this thing work so much in Mac's advantage and it helps give this mixtape a plethora of emotions that can be felt throughout the track list. From light hearted braggadocio and humorous storytelling in "friends" to a pure existential crisis in "funeral", which is part of a fascinating trilogy of a man's life explored in three parts: birth, wedding and of course, the funeral. Overall, all these different emotions and thoughts that are spiraling in Mac's head are beautifully represented in this mixtape and it sits at the top of his discography for me.
