Easily their best work since Lift Your Skinny Fists.
guys, I know Isaac Wood is gone, I've come to terms with that. But, hey! There's still hope :)
A pleasant sound of psychedelic folk :) I'm proud to say that the singer's sister is one of my favorite coworkers!
I can't explain how much the music industry needs bands like BCNR. I have been following the band since before "For the First Time" and the progression has been a beauty to witness. This album outperforms every other album that has come out within the last decade by quite a margin. I can't wait to see where the band will go from here!
I believe this album provides more of a thought-provoking experience than it does present catchy music. When I listen to this album, I have no choice but to actively engage with the lyrics Lingua Ignota is singing. I definitely respect this album as a unit more than anything else I've heard this year.
A decent work by one of the greatest Producers of all time. The greatest quality of the album is its seamless transitions. I miss the more abstract beats that he used to create, this album has more of a mechanical feel in my opinion.
Yo I’m so pumped this band put out a full length album that has all of their previously released singles. To me, this is the most exciting new band out there!
I’m not going to say that this is Godspeed’s best album, however, I will say that they made more of an effort on At States End than they have on their more recent records. This is at least the best album since Don’t Bend! Ascend!
This is the first complete album I have listened to from RTJ and I must say I am pleasantly impressed, best album I've heard released in 2020. In this dark year, this album somehow reflects the atmosphere in today's US of A. Because of the increasing amount of athletes, celebrities, and musicians that use their fame as a platform to speak out against what is going on in our country, the public is recognizing that things are not changing that should be changed. RTJ4 reflects the intensity of ... read more
After 7 years without an album, the stokes dropped this album, and I am pleased to say they are back! The New Abnormal is definitely the best album they've put out since Room On Fire. After an unimpressive last three albums, The New Abnormal sounds like the strokes have gone back to their roots. Julian's vocals and songwriting are stellar as usual and their instrumentals are on fleak. They started the album off with a banger with The Adults Are Talking and let it down gently with Ode To The ... read more
While this Album lacks anything that completely stands alone, it makes up for it in its remarkable consistency. Kevin Parker clearly went over each individual track in the studio meticulously. This album is slower than it is a rush, but it certainly posses a smooth flow that his other albums lack. The problem with this is that as the album goes on, it seems that the sound of the tracks seems to repeat itself. Parker seems to be more restrained in this album as if he is trying to hold back ... read more
