A pleasant sound of psychedelic folk :) I'm proud to say that the singer's sister is one of my favorite coworkers!
I can't explain how much the music industry needs bands like BCNR. I have been following the band since before "For the First Time" and the progression has been a beauty to witness. This album outperforms every other album that has come out within the last decade by quite a margin. I can't wait to see where the band will go from here!
I believe this album provides more of a thought-provoking experience than it does present catchy music. When I listen to this album, I have no choice but to actively engage with the lyrics Lingua Ignota is singing. I definitely respect this album as a unit more than anything else I've heard this year.

While the psychedelic genres are my bread and butter, I like anything that sounds unique. As a teacher, I grade albums like tests or essays. 100) the GOATs, 97-99) A+ near perfection, 94-96) A far superior to most, 90-93) A-, exceptional albums, 87-89) B+ delightful but doesn't quite earn an "A", 84-86) B good job, (80-83) B- could've seen more, etc... numerous genre-specific playlists on Spotify @calebholmes1.
