While not my favorite RAP Ferreira, it's worthy of meditation. There's something to be said for some of the growth and maturity on this record. There is no pandering here.
Real Jazz is always a standout for me:
"A life is an argument for the meaning of goodness"
and the call and response in vocals about the crick are phenomenal.
Would always recommend in a time of increased alienation to find poetry.
hilarious, funny, and good to listen to. A great backrub in the waiting room.
This record has always been incredibly important to me, rounding into my 31st year, this feels like a prescient time to go back and visit.
Of all the pieces I've combined
Still the cruelest mixture yet
Is the softness of a thawing dawn
And the hardness of regret
The lyrics to end the record are the stage we're on, after so, so many amazing moments. Wild, Wild, Horses, among them:

Do you like Bliss? Do you like remembering the joy of those you loved, have lost, but could love again? Do you want an album that brings about reminiscences on the slow qualities of 20th century life. Do you like a bit of classical music from time to time? This is it. The hits.

He is brilliant, and we want to see through his eyes or at least stand with him watching the horizon, which sometimes is difficult or impossible with some of the other records. Often in later works there is a sense of being underwater in language or in a dense ... read more
Great songs overall, the record does really well, but doesn't reinvent the wheel in the end. But very, very enjoyable all the way through.
