While by no means a ‘bad’ album, ‘A Little Disaster’ proves to be a less interesting listen that, while never bad, is not quite as varied and catchy as their debut.
Definitiely not Akira's best work; starts out real rough, and stagnates a little before really gaining it's stride towards the end. Akira's knack for experimentation doesn't always hit the nail on the head here, with most of the tracks just sorta end up forgettable and one (Prebroken) being outright hard to listen to. But it really does have some high highs in tracks like Enemy, Fireworks, This, and Lutino. Overall pretty alright but probably a step down from P.N.C.
Pretty decent through-and-through. I love the bit of country feel that comes through on a handful of the songs; but therein lies my one nitpick about the album, in that it feels like they don't quite want to commit to the sound, and leaves the end product feeling a little disjointed.
I really wanted to like this album more than I did but it's honestly just very repetitive and forgettable as a result.
Also, this isn't a criticism but I feel like a lot of the vocals sound like the growls a kitten makes when you try to take it's food away lol
