My favorite album of all time. The music itself is ethereal and transcendent, and the story that it tells (however nebulous) is just the cherry on top. It invites you to draw your own conclusions on what's happening, and the meaning of it I different to everyone who listens.

After searching three record stores and a barnes and noble looking for an Out of The Blue CD and just finding ELO compilation albums, my patience was rewarded when an employee brought this out of the back and sold it to me for $12. I intend on listening to all of the albums in this.

I drove around my city going into record stores looking for an Out of The Blue CD, but every one just had compilation and greatest hits CDS. Everybody was hyping this up to be a lot more avant-garde than it actually was. I’m aware that it was revolutionary for its time, but listening to it among modern day music, it’s fairly standard. Revolution 9 is what inspired my favorite song, so extra points for that.
Enjoyed it, but it lacks a certain oomf that would place it into the 70+ category. I found myself zoning out a lot listening to it.
