After searching three record stores and a barnes and noble looking for an Out of The Blue CD and just finding ELO compilation albums, my patience was rewarded when an employee brought this out of the back and sold it to me for $12. I intend on listening to all of the albums in this.
As for the CDS themselves, they're shitty wallet sleeves. It's very hard to take the CDS out of them, but I'm not going to complain too much because I mean. Come on, it's all of the ELO albums. ... read more
I drove around my city going into record stores looking for an Out of The Blue CD, but every one just had compilation and greatest hits CDS. At the fourth record store (including a Barnes and Noble) I found a “The Classics Album Collection” set of every ELO album for $12! This is the second ELO album I’ve listened to, and it’s pretty great.
Everybody was hyping this up to be a lot more avant-garde than it actually was. I’m aware that it was revolutionary for its time, but listening to it among modern day music, it’s fairly standard. Revolution 9 is what inspired my favorite song, so extra points for that.
Enjoyed it, but it lacks a certain oomf that would place it into the 70+ category. I found myself zoning out a lot listening to it.
Favorite: Starman
Least Favorite: I don't remember
I was really pleasantly surprised. I was told that Abbey Road was even more boring than the absolute snoozefest that is Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, but I really enjoyed this! It had a lot of what felt like filler, but those little dittys were still very fun to listen to. It’s an album of kinda quirky songs strung together with bigger ones with a little more substance. I have no complaints, this is pretty great.
This movie had one of the best endings I’ve ever seen in cinema. And the music was also pretty okay.
This is an album that, to me, sounds better after I play it than while I'm playing it. This has never happened with any other album--I genuinely don't know why this happens. Due to this very strange circumstance, I will be giving this album two different scores.
While listening: 76
After listening, as the album marinates in my head: 83
There are times when I want to listen to this album, I sit through it, kinda bored, and by the end I'm pretty sick of it. And then it plays in ... read more
It had a pretty rough start, and most of the songs just sound like someone is garbling into a microphone. All I Need and Faust Arp do have some nice instrumentals, though, and I liked Jigsaw Falling Into Place. Other than that, not really sure what people are seeing in this album. I don't think its awful or anything, but I am a pretty confused on how this constistently manages to be ranked as one of the best albums of all time.
I’ve been playing Minecraft on and off since 2013. I have many fond memories of it. I have probably put hundreds of hours into this game just playing with my little brother alone. We used to watch Minecraft YouTubers together. We loved PopularMMOs and DanTDM, and I loved Stampy. In middle school, I loved other Minecraft YouTubers involved with the Dream SMP and Hermitcraft. A few years ago I got really into those documentary style modded Minecraft challenges. Less than a month away from ... read more
When Prince died a decade ago now, my mother drove me to his house. It wasn't a very long drive, as we were--and still are--living in Minneapolis. Purple Rain is one of her favorite songs, and it absolutely bored eight year old me. I did not understand how important this man was to the music industry, I did not care for the one song of his I knew. I just knew that he had a very big house, and that my mom was very sad about his passing.

Unironically think this is one of the best music videos ever recorded. Worth getting mugged for.
Not a week goes by where I don’t grieve what could have been the studio recording of Another Minute.
Other than that, I like it. The extra songs are fun, and it’s interesting seeing how Tally Hall’s song have changed during production. That being said, I ultimately prefer the versions we ended up with in their final form
Will Wood takes one of his best songs, drains it of its gusto, sticks an unfunny story in the middle, and skips over half the lyrics.
Disclaimer: I saw this live. I did not listen to the studio album, so that might affect my rating
It was okay. I think the musical itself was delightful, but the songs are just kinda…eh? And it’s not like the singers were bad. Everyone at the performance was incredibly talented, both in singing and in acting. The songs themselves just didn’t stand out to me musically.
I used to not be able to listen to this song without crying
