Though lacking in the initial impact it had with me FlyLo delivers yet another tracklist full of his very own IDM fusion. Plays more like a compilation, but it's still a strong one.

GREY Area stands as an impeccable collection of unshakable rap tunes, lacking partially in innovation but greatly making up for it with Simz' brand of confident mic acrobatics.

This record holds steadfast as my favorite IDM project of all time because it bucks any form of technical fluff in the interest of perfectly executing its main goal: evoking feelings/premonitions of genuine, spiritual doom. It's an absolute goddamn shame that a mediocre pop band with a terrible fanbase can essentially bot the shit out of a genuine website. Production withstanding I think the standout quality of this record lies within the execution. Among my circle friends this album has instantly clicked with a majority of us and has proved of no value to a minority regardless of passes through. One of my all time favorites. Instrumentals that are distinctively hip hop and trip hop but are better accented by eerie, dreamlike vocal samples than hooks and choruses. Serene synths and dusty instrumentation come together to create music that is just past ambient, being extremely enjoyable as background music but rewarding to an attentive listener picking apart every layer.
