8. apathy. (2017)
Back to this finally. I was listening to this while I was working on some job hunting stuff and the main thing I'm getting from this era in Vylet Pony's discography is that she's really starting to experiment with different sounds. Her early work was very much electronic and dubstep inspired, and Super Pony World continued with that, but with Love Letters, Ramen House in Ponyville and apathy. we see her reaching out to explore quieter, more textured sounds. In ... read more
**7. Love Letters (2016)**
Been in a funk the last few days, but here's some more Vylet Pony!
I've heard a decent amount of fans refer to this as Vylet Pony's first album of any real quality. I do think that's pretty unfair to *Super Pony World: Zräos Simulation* to be honest, but this does feel like it's the first time where the concept and throughline of a Vylet Pony album really shines. *Zräos Simulation* was long and sprawling and while it felt like it ... read more
Lo fi beats to relax and be a pony eating ramen to. Really chill and cozy. Nothing more, nothing less.
Vylet Pony Ranking:

2. Ramen House in Ponyville (2016)
3. Horse Friends (2014)

5. Twilight (Silence in Ponyville) (2014)
6. Winter's End (2013)
**5. Super Pony World: Zräos Simulation (2016)**
So, this is without really any contest the first good Vylet Pony album. It's also the first Vylet Pony album proper - while she as an artist considers the first four releases official Vylet Pony projects, they were also released under different monikers, with *Winter's End* being released as Musicians of Ponyville and the other three being released as Pony! It's fitting to me that *Zräos Simulation* is where all of the ... read more
**4. Control Freaks Pt. 1 (2015)**
Running out of things to say about these earlier projects because my feelings on them are all basically the same at the end of the day. Each of them showcase Vylet's improvement at her craft, but it's yet to actually congeal into something truly memorable and interesting as its own experience. This one is a shorter 6 track EP that returns to the dubstep sound of the first two albums, and I'll just list out the pros and cons:
Pros:

**3. Horse Friends (2014)**
We are still very much in the realm of albums that aren't really all that good outside of the context of an artist's development, but Horse Friends more so than the other two I've listened to really feels like it's the nebula from which the star that is Vylet Pony eventually emerged. This album still has the loud brostep style of the first two albums in it, but it's also a lot more dynamic and diverse, with more focus on the ... read more
**2. Twilight (Silence in Ponyville) (2014)**
This is like... an improvement, but a marginal one. It still suffers from much of the same problems as Winter's End, most of which just come from... well, I'd wager they're from the artist's lack of experience with production, concept and songwriting. These earlier works don't really feel connected at all to My Little Pony beyond lyrics and the occasional sample. Twilight sees Vylet Pony taking some baby steps forward in ... read more
As a Christmas gift to myself I bought the full Vylet Pony discography, and I wanted to go through it all in chronological order. I'll be mainly covering the major projects section of its Bandcamp page, starting with Winter's End and ending with Monarch of Monsters.
**1. Winter's End (2013)**
So this album isn't good, and I'm not sure how much there even is to say about it. It's not even like obnoxiously bad outside of a couple of irritating samples or just... ... read more
