Brian Eno went "I'm going to invent music that's just noises for 20 minutes" and he was so right for it
I've known about Orville Peck since his debut and I adore his look and overall vibe (the more gay cowboys there are in the world the better) but I struggled to ever really get into his first album, mainly because his vocals just didn't work for me, especially paired with some of the agonizingly slow instrumentals. This is the first (piece of a) project that really works for me and I'm looking forward to what's in store from here
This was the album that first drew me into Chelsea Wolfe's music, because the cover is so striking. I honestly like the idea of what this album could've been better than what it actually is, but I'm always a sucker for heavy guitar and I think Chelsea makes for a very interesting metal artist
The opening track Carrion Flowers fucking BANGS and the atmosphere of this entire album is incredible. Chelsea's vocals are their best when paired with crushing instrumentals
