this album is 21p's best album to date. it features their best production ever, really pretty and softer vocals from tyler, and some amazing ideas. as far as albums go, i think it doesn't flow quite as well as it could have, but that doesn't change the fact that the quality of the songs is simply amazing.
this album is amazing, crisp, and super clean. the drums and production are some of the highlights on this project, and accompanied with the atmospheric synths and Kevin's soothing, somnolent vocals just tie the whole thing together. this album starts off very strong, but i will admit, it just starts getting a bit boring after The Less I Know the Better. however, that doesn't stop the songs from being catchy and hypnotic as hell. this album has crack in it, i swear.
this is most definitely jack stauber at his best. the highlights on this album are just awesome, and jack stauber's quirkiness isn't as annoying as it was on pop food. i actually fucking love this album, the guitar riffs are fantastic and sound incredibly homemade in a very, very good way.
damn, this song is incredibly jazzy, and it has an amazing message. definitely a really strong comeback for kendrick
this is tyler's best album yet by far. the highs are really, really fucking good, and the lowest of lows on this album still have so many redeemable qualities. the production is so muddy and well-done, it feels like a more realised version of wolf and igor combined. probably one of my favourite albums ever right now.
this album really defined king gizzard's psychedelic messy sound, and as their first record in 2017, it really slaps, and the microtonality makes it so much funkier. it's sour in a very, very good way
in my opinion, this is honestly one of king gizzard's best albums yet. the opener is amazing, and that vibe carries all the way through the entire album. just a really smooth experience from front to back.
i really can't give this album any higher than a 5/10, because it's just such a mixed bag with some really cringeworthy lyrics throughout the entire thing, but some really funky instrumentals that just give the listener such a bittersweet taste after listening. the highs of this album can't even compare to previous chilli peppers songs, and the lows are really, really bad.
