Easy “roadtrip” vibes listen that follows his success on his previous albums with similar material, although he does experiment with his voice a few times throughout. Songs like Dry Desserts remind me a lot of what I liked about The Great American Bar Scene, but a lot of the rest of the album mushes together.
Super smooth approach to the sequel of the 2023 album, Forward, as Jordan Ward finds his sound back in this mellow pop/R&B late night summer vibes which suits his voice well. You can go from relaxing with stranger to dancing around your room with themselves. Super versatile, easy listen.
I’ve gotten pretty deep into indie/bedroom pop this year between Jordan Ward, Dominic fike, Steve Lacy, and now Malcom Todd, and this is the best I’ve heard so far. Such a great use of these impressively engaging instrumentals with his easy, raw voice that matches them so well. Skipless album.
Would be much better if he only dropped this instead of throwing in the two slop fests along with it. Good album with lots of great product with songs like Whisper My Name and Make Them Pay. This dude really gotta drop the beef though, been a full 2 years since the beef ended. Unc gotta focus on his own music at this point.
