With so many R&B singers it's hard to really bring something new to the genre. Even though María doesn't exactly bend the genre she is a great R&B singer and isn't a bad addition in a saturated genre. For a debut EP it does introduce María well enough that anybody who is a fan of the genre will definitely be a fan of her like I am.

Beabadoobee the Filipina rockstar that will definitely have a promising music career.
Paying homage to 90s grunge with a slightly modern and more polished sound, her

"I agree with most of what you said I just feel like ppl in general were expecting a similar sound to Die Lit of course and he gave the fans the opposite of the minimalist melodic sound that Die Lit was and instead wanted to be polarizing and completely in your face and hard with the production and vocals, even tho most of the production is also just regular loops it sounds harsher and worse bc it isn't as melodic and instead a bashing bass & 808s.
