So uhhh it really grew on me I guess lmao
From the moment I first listened to this album in full I was weirdly drawn to this album. And what do you know, after around 10 full listens in (not exaggerating, if anything this is an underestimate) everything just clicked. I really thought that In Rainbows would be the first Radiohead album to get a 100 but the world works in mysterious ways I guess.
Everything in its Right Place is the perfect opener to this album. The ... read more
re:VISION finally concludes the "Ninomae Ina'nis Cinematic Universe" that Ina has been building up since VIOLET, and though there are still MVs that have to come out for the songs that aren't released as singles, the whole story in musical form is here for all of us to sink our teeth into. Despite enjoying the songs she has been putting out over the past four and a half years, I unfortunately find myself more interested in the story she is trying to tell than the actual ... read more
I love the screamy metal direction this song takes and I was blown away by some of Calli's screaming in this song, but the bridge kills all the momentum it has going and just throws me off every time. If not for it, this would be my favorite single for the album she's released so far. Maybe it works better when you're watching the Gachiakuta episode this is from, but on it's own the bridge makes the track fall apart.
When I saw the art for this single, I was mentally preparing for her to drop the interesting formula she had going and shit out some anime slop, but thankfully she stays winning! This is her best song yet, it has so much of her personality along with the amazing MV that comes with it. Very catchy chants and melodies with a whole lot of references, to the point where I can't see someone who doesn't like/know Ina enjoying this song at all lmao. However as a takodachi this song is so ... read more
Ina's third and for now latest song goes for an even darker and more cinematic atmosphere, and executes it really well. The live strings make the instrumental so much more grand and epic, it was a really good choice to include them. And unlike her previous release, the vocal effects add to the overall track as well! Unfortunately, this still suffers from the mixing problems of it, resulting in a very loud backing track that drowns out the other stuff going on underneath. The biggest ... read more
Of her three songs she's released so far, I like the idea of this one the most, but the actual execution the least. This song goes for a much darker tone that I really like, with lyrics and vocal delivery that I also really dig. However, the final mix and effects put on Ina's voice are really off-putting, and not in a good way. At the start, the instrumental has such a good punch to it that gets lost and muddied once the chorus hits. And the weird filter put on the vocals is just not ... read more
