The D.O.A. Tape is Brooklyn drill rapper Kay Flock’s sophomore mixtape. It serves as a collection of his previous songs which weren’t on streaming services. The tape peaked at number one on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
First off, I love that the mixtape starts with 30 seconds of Kay doing classic drill adlibs as the beat builds. Other than that, “Is Ya Ready” is a flawless drill song with extremely menacing production.
