Considered the worst album by a BBC poll, I’m honestly surprised Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends was even remembered by enough people to even leave an impact. The record is ok at best and mediocre at worst, with many songs sounding basic and unfinished.

It’s got so many musical geniuses on here yet the album just feels like a template for a better record. It’s not unlistenable and some tracks do have a decent riff but it’s all just very meh to me. Worst album ever though? ... read more

The second album from Wednesday I’ve heard, and honestly it’s near enough just as good as the previous one.

First of all, Karly Hartzman is a great singer, she’s gives off Courtney Love but on key and works perfectly with the instrumentation. The riffs and choruses on some of these tracks stick with you on just the first listen alone and intro’s like ‘Wound Up Here’ grab your attention instantaneously.

The scheme with battle rappers names was great, the “never said you were the black Eminem I said you were the black Stan” line was a killer too. But the gay jokes and filler bars on the first half lowered it down a little.
