I didn't really liked Tool until I heard this album. I find them interesting as a band but their tone is too monotonous and their music is not melodic enough for my taste. But after hearing this album I think I get it now
The lack of big melodic shifts really puts the emphasis on the rhythm, which is very complex and hard to track giving me a feeling of disorientation and puts me in a trance like state. I don't know if the song is starting or ending, I don't know what is ... read more
