A solid album by Barnett. Featuring winding guitar passages that echo Neil Young and bright, dreamlike melodies, perfect for summer.
On Sinister Grift, the Animal Collective mastermind offers his signature Beach Boys-esque sunshine pop laced with psychedelia. All around, this album is a feel-good breeze to get through.
A fierce force of theatrical guitar rock from an art pop mastermind. On the final song, Spellling covers My Bloody Valentine, transporting the listener back to the hazy guitar heaven of the early 90s, which is where this album was born.
On their fourth album, the Bog boys lash about with their own brand of dizzying basement-dweller rock 'n' roll. It's under an hour of very good punk music, but also the closest the band has come to sounding derivative (of themselves). The next one will have to be something different for the Swedes to stay fresh.
