This is a good album in terms of quality and sound which is cool. However there isn’t much variation in the album and Plasma is the only song that sticks out for me. It’s a fun listen but not replayable.
This is the weakest Universal Indicator release by far. I can barely get through that first track, the release is too long for what it is. Some decent material but overall quite weak, makes the Blue EP sound like Discovery in comparison to it.
This EP is definitely a weaker work of Richard D. James. Fun enough to listen to once, but definitely not essential. At least it’s better than that Godforsaken green one.
The first and best EP, Blue by Universal Indicator is a great piece of acid electronic music. Being 6 songs and 32 minutes, it hits without overstaying its welcome. The first song “Memories of You” is my absolute favourite, it reminds me a lot of something you’d hear from early Ludovic Navarre on the FCOM label. Dark Angel is pretty awesome too. The second and third tracks are weaker than the others, but overall this EP is better than the average rating shows.
Solid EP with old-school style tracks. Worth the listen as every track is enjoyable in its own way.
