most underrated texas band by a LOT. these guys seriously got such an amazing catalog; this album sticks out to me cuz it’s about halfway between their experimental weirdo stuff and their more mainstream psychedelia. love these guys.

inconsistent and weird but also kinda charming. i think the ‘bad’ mixing actually makes this stand out a lot, it harkens back to the RCB days when the mix served to complement the psychedelic beats and it functions pretty well in that aspect here. unfortunately, the beats that DON’T rely on that suffer from sounding to bland and basic, especially for tezzy and diamond. the only reason they exist was to not scare off any modern thug fans from listening to the rest of the album. ... read more
