Unity

I listened to this album with my friends @tichopesto and @MarMarijn, and had a pretty good time doing so. I went into this album expecting to like very little about it. I don't really like Joost as an artist. I don't think he's very funny, or interesting really. I can't even tell when he's doing the vocals on a song because he puts on a different silly voice on every single one. The album has a terrible start in my opinion, with the first five tracks getting progressively worse, ending with United by Music, which is one of the worst songs I've ever heard. After this, the album actually started surprising me by having some good songs on it. Friesenjung warms the heart of even the most bitter happy hardcore haters (me). Internetcafe 24/7 is actually a pretty funny and catchy song, which features an amazing final minute. Europapa managed to make me proud of gabber culture after seeing it on the massive stage that is Eurovision. It's a shame what happened, but I still love that we as a country sent in such an unabashedly Dutch song. It's so charming, and damn catchy too. The closer, Last Man Standing, is also just great. Amazingly catchy, while also having a great sounding instrumental. These four songs being good doesn't change the facts that I think half the songs on here suck complete ass though, and United by Music is genuinely the worst song I've ever rated on this site. It's a zero out of 100. It fucking sucks.
