Onyx is everything wrong with what I would describe as 'live show culture' within Electronic Dance Music, but less broadly, Dubstep. From Decimate to Crusher, Onyx is nothing more than a compilation of poorly-produced, heavy-hitting Briddim tracks with a couple of Meldub and Hybrid Trap tunes interspersed in between; this is where live show culture begins to rear its ugly head.

PHANTOMIME is not an album that I can ever see myself going back to again, but despite this, it is genuinely Mori's best work to date. While there are some issues with the mixing on some tracks, everything just feels so much more polished and it really seems like Mori has found herself in her music. Tracks such as Overkill, Last Days, and through the blue really highlight the growth that she's been able to show compared to her previous records.

The only thing I really had to take away from this album was that Ice Spice’s managers don’t know how to evolve her style without repeating what has already worked for them for the last year. Y2K’s tracklist feels like a dozen of singles that were just squeezed together to create an “album”.

Manual Manic Procedures will chew you up and spit you out like the piece of shit you are. Such a vile, guttural album that really matches the album cover.

A fantastic display of Squarepusher's versatility as an artist as you journey through his glitchy, jazzy and full soundscape. You truly cannot get better than jamming out to some Vic Acid or just skateboarding at night around the deserted downtown area of your city while listening to Beep Street; there's nothing else like it.

I really cannot put my feelings about this album into words; it's simply impossible. The weight of the world feels like the culmination of syzy's career and journey of self-discovery. After coming back to this album after five years and giving it a relisten, I've come to the realization that this album has aged incredibly poorly outside of the three tracks that I still enjoy (i.e money machine, stupid horse, hand crushed by a mallet) and parts of this album are genuinely annoying to listen to. A complete package with some nerdy, yet engaging and fun lyrics along with plenty of creativity spread around the tracklist to provide the listener with an entertaining experience from front to back. There’s maybe two or three tracks that feel out of place for me in the record, but they hardly take away from the overall quality of FULLMETAL KAIJU.
