production on here is really nice, feel like there is def some work to be done but all in all this was pretty enjoyable!
other than being a little bloated this thing smacks. edward is doing it like none other, some of the most polarizing rage music i've ever heard
i've been a fan of these guys since their first album, even picked up one of the limited pink tapes for it, and seeing them come this far is nothing further from incredible. they have found their sound and it's unlike anything else, i so highly recommend you listen to this
yeah this think is easily peggy's weakest. i already wasn't a fan of ildmlfy so if he wasn't reverting back to what he was doing on amhac or LP i was probably not gonna fw it. at least on ildmlfy i got some enjoyment out of it and could easily rate it like a 70, but with this the only think that makes this album listenable is the production. if peggy were to drop the instrumentals i could easily rate that like a 75/80. i don't wanna hear the same monotone, one-note "i ... read more
wonderful IDM album that perfectly captures what it would feel like to explore the forested "out of bounds" areas in obscure video games
what a fucking cool album holy shit
easily RAW's most defined project to date, you can tell this album was very well thought out and had lots of time taken on it, comparing this to an album like MD or lyfeless, which are both (somewhat?) newer projects from raw, you can really see the progress that has been made, and i'm really excited for whatever comes next
a huge release from pull flower. some songs here are extremely good, while some are pretty skippable. lots of moments on here reminded me of other artists in pull flower's field (audry, verity larsen / vel 17, etc) while some other moments reminded me of that 2010's "indie freak rock" sound (animal collective, deerhunter, chad vangaalen, etc,) a nice handful of ambient & experimental sound collage cuts, and the "DISTORTED TAPE" series which reminds me of ... read more
