I'm not trying to be a contrarian, I promise. But the overtly positive reaction for this single does confuse me. It just sounds like a generic pop song to me and her voice has an annoying cadence and inflection that I don't enjoy. Given the inspirations she was naming as a part of the promotion of this album, I expected a completely different sound from her. Spiritually Israeli flop album, can old Taylor come back to the phone please?
I mean, she tried but this direction wasn't serving her right, idk man, maybe I need a few more listens on this to truly appreciate it
