how i love the genius minds of sigur ros. one of the best post rock albums ever, and i have listened to many. i thought the language barrier would make me dislike this album (my first listen was in 2021 — my views have clearly changed!) but the beautiful icelandic language makes this album even better.
i was confused at first but i ended up liking it a lot more than i would have thought. phil eleverum seems to know what he's doing — i'm a huge fan of mount eerie.
i will never not love this album. radiohead's finest, for sure. kid a is endearing with popular tracks like how to disappear completely hitting the spot every single time to my personal favorite, in limbo, making me feel things every human should feel at least once. this album is my everything. fight me on this. i dare you.
how is on avery island — this masterpiece of an album — not neutral milk hotel's best album? for this to come in second, for this to come in silver, is absurd considering the painstaking beauty rooted in these gorgeous songs. gardenhead / leave me alone is one of my favorite songs of all time. listen to this album — especially those who desperately wanted to love neutral milk hotel's in the aeroplane over the sea yet were disappointed.
