It’s pretty good, but the second half… good grief.
Lowkey my favorite album from her, lazier than chemtrails but she pulled it off somehow. I do find this album as a 3 more listens and you’ll get it, cause that’s how many listens it took me to like this album.
After the release of Norman Rockwell I didn’t know what direction Lana would take, but she took the “outtake” direction and im not complaining entirely, my only complaint about the year of 2021 and the choices she made was production, everything felt so stripped back way more strip backed than Honeymoon. Chemtrails is my least favorite Lana del Rey album as it has snooze tracks. Do I wish she did more with this era other than just move on after releasing it? Yes, yes I do.
Without a doubt this album is probably one of her best. It was wrote, produced and sung so beautifully I don’t think Lana will be capable to ever create an album that can top this in a general POV, Personally she already topped this album. This Era was a fever dream and I love it.
This album really pushed her image as an artist. I appreciate what this album has done for Lana and for the world, I think this album is important for pop culture, however the issue with this album is that it felt like she “over-released” it May sound like a complaint but it isn’t, it’s more so how she structured the album, it feels bloated but doesn’t have bloating tracks. It may be my ears, but this album is a true pop culture moment.
Personally, this album is one of my favorites ever, it’s very mellow. I use to have issues with some of the ending tracks from this album, but they really grew on me a lot. The promo for this album was also pretty good personally.
Probably one of her most interesting changes in sound. From the “main stream” pop sound to a rock sound was pretty much a risk Lana took, but it paid off with time. I think this album is a classic like born to die, but a bit better. I do find 1 or 2 tracks quite tiring in the album however its a great sophomore album.
I think this is one of the few most beautiful EP’s to exist. It’s very cinematic hence her little short film, I personally like how paradise serves as the threshold from born to die to ultraviolence.
I think this album is very coming of age. Lana set the tone for many newer artist with this album. I think it’s a very strong album, however i feel like this album lacks something and im not quite sure what it is.
